Welcome Home Micah!

Today is the day! We have waited so long for this day and it is FINALLY here! We are so excited and anxious to see him! We have missed him so much!!
My sisters husband has been serving in Iraq for the past 10 months. A lot has happened while he has been away, especially the new addition to his own family! My sister had there first baby just weeks after he left out of state for training. He was lucky enough to make it home for the birth and spend a few days with them before having to return. This little guy is the cutest thing ever & it's just not because he is my nephew! I tell my sister I hope my baby looks something like him! He is just spoiled crazy and no one can get enough of him. We are so excited for this little guy to finally meet his daddy! They will be inseparable!!
Thanks for all you did to keep us safe!

Kids Say the Darndest Things!

I have loved being pregnant for this exact reason! Ty's nephews have been so dang cute throughout this whole experience. I am always so excited to hear there next comment or question. Its on a regular basis when seeing them. I have written them all down to remember but thought I would share a few...

Jaxon (7)... "Amanda, is Ty mad at you for having a baby?"
Before I could respond...
Connor (4)... " I bet he is!

Sunday dinner at the Tuckers. We were all in the family room where I was sitting down on a chair in a dress when all of the sudden Preston (2) came running around the corner yelling my name...

"Amanda I want to see your baby? I want to see your baby"... While lifting up my dress! I had to assure him next time I wore pants he might be able too. =)

Preston(2) "I want baby Braxton to come now!" "Tell him to come now!"

Preston... "He's going to be my buddy, Yup Braxton is going to be my buddy!"

Preston... (while running up to us at the front door)
"Did you bring your baby?" "Did you bring your baby?"
Amanda...
Of course I did he has to come with me because he is still in my tummy. He looked at me and said oh with a confused sad look. I think this is because we found out it was a boy and every was talking about it he thought we had it! Hopefully he will still be so excited to meet this little one once the time comes.

There are plenty more to come I am sure so maybe I will keep this going!

Baby Update...

I have had quite a few people request for me to have baby/pregnancy updates posted on here so here is the first! Better late than never.

I have been feeling flutters for the past week which has been so much fun. Tyler is anxious to feel them too, and sad it will be about another month or so until he can actually feel something when his hands are on my belly.
I am really excited to feel more movement and hope every day that i just might. But... only being an inch wide doesn't help with feeling much. He is still pretty little.

Yesterday I had my monthly doctor appointment as scheduled. It was the most amazing thing to hear the baby's heart beat after finding out it was a little boy. It made my heart melt. I was so excited. It's nice to finally know who that little baby is and identify it correctly instead of calling it "IT"
I never thought I would be the type to decide so strongly on one name before a baby was born. I always pictured going to the hospital with a few names & deciding there, but both Tyler and I absolutely love and agree on this name so we decided to go with it. As for now (Hopefully, because I change my mind too often) we are going with...
Braxton Tyler Tucker. Hopefully he looks like a Braxton. =) Especially for Tyler's nephews. They are dead set on it. The day after we told Ty's family my sister in-law Jaime asked if we had any names in mind so I told her and the next day we had Preston(2) demand it was baby Braxton. He had called it that from day one & if asked if it's a girl he even gets a little more demanding and says "NO baby Braxton!" So good thing it's a boy huh!

I have heard both sides to this situation. Many say its better to name the baby so you get to know it and bond with it while pregnant and have it become that person, and many say to wait and name it when you first see it. I am just not sure but I know we are pretty set on the name and hey I have never done this before so I guess we will give it a shot! =)

Can we say Sciatic Nerve...
I did not sleep very well last night!! I kept thinking I was sleeping too long on my left side and it it had just fallen asleep in a weird throbbing, stinging, burning way. Soon after waking up I realized what it was. My mom told me this morning she had it really bad through all of her pregnancies. GREAT! ha ha! Its still throbbing as we speak and I hope it at least calms down a little. If any one knows any tricks to helping this PLEASE SHARE!

We are so excited to announce that we are having a baby Boy!

Tyler is on cloud 9! He started celebrating right away! I don't even think he heard the whole word boy yet either. Right after she told us Ty walked out and started calling EVERYONE! He is really proud to be having a son! I looked at the Ultra Sound Tech a while later and asked where he went? We just started laughing! He couldn't handle the excitement and had to share it with the world! He finally came back in when she was printing some pictures! =) ha ha! At least we have the pictures for him to see what he missed! It was so amazing! Our baby looks perfect 10 fingers and 10 toes I am so happy for that. In the end a healthy baby is all that matters.

This little guy was not shy at all though! He was spread eagle for us all to identify him! So there is no mistake it's a boy!

A Place to Call Home

We have already found a great apartment! We are so excited! Our friends Nate & Cara currently live there! We met them out in Florida last summer. They are buying a beautiful town home in Saratoga Springs! (So Jealous!!) It truly is so beautiful! They will be moving out about August which is exactly what we were planning, timing wise to find & move into another place. I would like a month or so to get all settled in before the baby comes! So this works perfect! It's right off 1600 North in Orem. The drive is actually shorter to both work and my parents house, then it was from Alpine! Crazy! We are really excited! It doesn't seem like a basement apartment in anyway unless you look out the window (window wells is all you will see.) The kitchen/family room has 9ft ceilings and the bedrooms/bathroom/hallways are close to 8ft. The landlord asked us if we would like to paint and of course I was all over that! (sorry in advance to all those who will be asked to help, I guess I already volunteered you!) I think paint on the walls does so much to a home. He said I could pick the colors as long as they are reasonable. We really feel like we got an awesome deal and couldn't be happier. Can't wait to pick out paint! We think this will be a perfect little place for us until Ty is finished with school and we are ready to buy a home! But for now we will make this our home.

Alot of New Changes

We have done so many things this past month and even with a new camera I have not documented anything! I can't believe it! I guess life just got a little crazy there for a while. So I will update with a few things. A bit of exciting news for me... Tyler & his dad went down to the B-Ball tournaments in Vegas last month and was able to find us a steal of a deal on a car down at the car auction. Tyler still says he went down to "Buy a Car" and it just so happened it was the same weekend of the B-ball games but hey we both benefited from that little trip right?! I sold my car right before we headed out to Florida last year so our plan was to buy me a new car once we got home in September but we couldn't decide what car we really wanted. Then we got the exciting news that we were pregnant and we knew we would need a car with a little bit more leg room! I have been in love with the new Nissan Altima's for quite some time now and was really hoping for one! Going to the auction can be a little nerve wracking only because you don't know exactly what you are going to walk away with when you go! So when Tyler called me I won't lie my stomach had butterflies and I couldn't wait to hear what we got.... 2005 Pearl White Nissan Altima! =) I LOVE MY CAR! Just what I wanted!

BITTER SWEET...

I really didn't see this day coming so soon & can't believe its here! It's time to move! AGAIN! Alpine is truly where I felt at home & I was really hoping to be there at least 3 years! We have the cutest little one bedroom apartment & have loved everything about it!

We truly are not on our own time table that's for sure, we are definitely on the Lords and he has truly let me know that plenty of times. You would think I would have learned that by now but I haven't! My personality is to plan ahead I can't help it! So when I started PLANNING out the new year our little surprise was made known just a few days later! =) I am so excited to be a mom but only wish I could start my little family in Alpine. We know great things are yet to come and we are excited to start this new chapter in our lives & know we will find another great apartment! We just love our Landlords and will miss them so much! They are the greatest people you will ever meet! Thanks so much for EVERYTHING Dave & Jeri! We will miss you!

TICK, TICK, TICK ...

Time is ticking away and we are down to the last days!

My bother in-law is due home from his service in Iraq by May 3rd!

We are just dying to see him! We love him so much & are so thankful to him for & his sacrifice to keep us safe! WE LOVE YOU MICAH!

First Ultra Sound~

Yesterday I had my first Ultra Sound! It was the most amazing thing! It finally feels real! I couldn't wait to go all weekend. Just the anticipation of knowing all is well with the baby and that there was a heart beat! I mean me worry? Come on! Ha ha! Any one who knows me even the slightest knows that's the best thing I do in life! My nerves got the best of me at one point but seeing that baby on the screen was the most comforting feeling in the world! He also confirmed there was only one baby! I kept having these dreams it was twins, and Tyler has actually been rooting for triplets! So to see even one heart beat was so exciting! I couldn't beleive how fast the little heart beat was beating! It really was such a neat thing to see! I have never been so excited! I wish I could buy my own Ultra Sound machine and have it at home so I could see the baby all the time! I can't wait to meet this little one!
Once he measured the baby he told me that I was measuring 1 day ahead of schedule so he changed my due date to October 4th! My niece Hailey will be happy to hear the news! Her Birthday is that day
and she is the only Grand Daughter! When we told her we were expecting and what day I was due she told us that she really wants it to be a girl and
hopes the baby comes one day early so they can have the same Birthday! So we will cross our fingers for her!
