2 Weeks Old

Our little guy is growing like a weed! I can't believe that he will be 3 weeks on Tuesday. We are enjoying every minute & just can't seem to get enough of him! Here are some somethings we have been up too this past little while!

First Bath!
He loves bath time already. He wasn't too fond of sponge baths and being cold but once I would wrap him up and wash his hair he would get this look like Ahhhhhh this feels good. His cord finally fell off a 13 days old and I was very anxious to give him his first bath. By the look of his face I think bath time is a go!

Comb Over!
His hair has SO much curl to it that it looks a little too girly when I gel it all up so I found a trick to make it straight and spiky! I have to "Comb it over" so that it dries straight and it fluffs up on its own on top once it's dry then I just put a little hair spray in it and we are good to go! I took this picture the first time I thought of doing this and this was his reaction! Tyler HATES when I comb it over so I snapped this shot and sent it to Tyler one day saying "Save me from my comb over daddy!"

2 Week Appointment
9 Lbs 5 Ounces & 21.5 Inches long

I am definitely growing!!

I love going to Braxtons Check ups I just think the world of his pediatrician! He has been so great & has helped us a lot as we are trying to get to know our little guy. Braxton got off to a rough start and just seemed to be in pain all the time! It broke me heart! Our Dr. thinks he might have acid reflux so he put him on some medicine to see if it would help! He said it could take 4-5 days to kick in and see a change in him but I feel like we saw results in minutes of him taking it. I also think prayers and a Fathers Blessing came into play as well. He has been the best baby since he turned 2 weeks. I also hear that the first 2 weeks are Hell so that could have been it too but this medicine has seemed to work so I think we will keep him on it until the doctor says no more because It breaks me heart to see him in pain or even cry! The Doctor is very impressed with Braxton! He can't believe how strong he is! He is holding his head up and moving it from side to side. He stands on me already and is very alert to sounds and images. He has started making noises now as he eats and has made a couple of noise while Ty and I are talking to him. Its so much fun to watch him grow! The only thing the Doctor is concerned about and asked me to do is to not take him out very much and has asked us not to pass him around & especially not to have any little kids hold him, kiss him ,or be in his face. We are now to start treating him as a "January" baby, and are suppose to leave him in his car seat with a blanket over him if and when we go anywhere! This really bummed me out only because I am going stir crazy just a little bit & we love to show off our little guy. He said the reason for this is because the flu has already broken out in newborns and should not have until January/February so he told me he is telling all his newborn patients to just stay in! He told me I am to ask everyone in our families to get their flu shots and to only admire from a far! What a BUMMER!!! Can't wait til he is immunized!!

Don't judge me but I heard this works so I gave it a try, when Braxton just seemed to be in so much pain and just couldn't stop crying in those first 2 weeks I heard the vibrations and noise of a washer or dryer helps to calm a baby & If you lay them on top while its going it helps to calm them in a matter of minutes. I just so happen to be doing laundry right then so I tried it!

He is not a shy boy at all!!! He loves to spread those legs! So hear is a not so good shot of him on the scale but its the only one I snapped with out showing a ton & I wanted to document his weight at 2 weeks!

GO COUGARS!!!!!!!!!!!
We bought him a little jersey so he could dress up every game day! Tyler wishes he could take him to each game with him but I think we will have to wait until Basketball season! We got him all dressed up yesterday and we headed over to Great Grandma Tuckers for Steakout before the game! We snapped a couple of pictures right before we left and this is what we got!

We are just saying he thinks we were playing Utah yesterday!

Our little Gangsta!

FINALLY.... Drumb Roll Please.............

Braxton Slept through the night lat night!!! Since the day we put him on his medicine something just clicked! He started getting up only one time to feed and just 4 days later we had our first full night of sleep! I woke up in a panic just to find me little guy still dreaming away! Its only happened once but we are crossing our fingers this becomes a habit! My mom had me and all my siblings sleeping through the night by 3 weeks at the latest! Isn't he so precious!

This was just this morning after a full nights rest! Such a happy boy!
