What are little boys made of?

What are little boys made of?
Snips and snails, and puppy dogs tails
That's what little boys are made of...

We are so excited to announce that we are having a baby Boy!

Tyler is on cloud 9! He started celebrating right away! I don't even think he heard the whole word boy yet either. Right after she told us Ty walked out and started calling EVERYONE! He is really proud to be having a son! I looked at the Ultra Sound Tech a while later and asked where he went? We just started laughing! He couldn't handle the excitement and had to share it with the world! He finally came back in when she was printing some pictures! =) ha ha! At least we have the pictures for him to see what he missed! It was so amazing! Our baby looks perfect 10 fingers and 10 toes I am so happy for that. In the end a healthy baby is all that matters.

This little guy was not shy at all though! He was spread eagle for us all to identify him! So there is no mistake it's a boy!

( I can't get the pictures to upload so I will post them ASAP!)

A Place to Call Home

We have already found a great apartment! We are so excited! Our friends Nate & Cara currently live there! We met them out in Florida last summer. They are buying a beautiful town home in Saratoga Springs! (So Jealous!!) It truly is so beautiful! They will be moving out about August which is exactly what we were planning, timing wise to find & move into another place. I would like a month or so to get all settled in before the baby comes! So this works perfect! It's right off 1600 North in Orem. The drive is actually shorter to both work and my parents house, then it was from Alpine! Crazy! We are really excited! It doesn't seem like a basement apartment in anyway unless you look out the window (window wells is all you will see.) The kitchen/family room has 9ft ceilings and the bedrooms/bathroom/hallways are close to 8ft. The landlord asked us if we would like to paint and of course I was all over that! (sorry in advance to all those who will be asked to help, I guess I already volunteered you!) I think paint on the walls does so much to a home. He said I could pick the colors as long as they are reasonable. We really feel like we got an awesome deal and couldn't be happier. Can't wait to pick out paint! We think this will be a perfect little place for us until Ty is finished with school and we are ready to buy a home! But for now we will make this our home.
(These pictures were taken just a couple weeks ago and sent to me from my friend Cara to give me an idea what it looked like before we came to see it. Thanks for pics Cara hope its okay everyone is viewing your house) =)

This kitchen has double the cupboards I have ever had.

The door on the left in the corner is our laundry room. It is really good size! I am so thankful a washer and dryer comes with it! =)

Crib I am waiting to order

Dresser that will never be in stock I swear! I might just have to spend more and order it from another store. =(

..................................................................
Nice size bathroom! I am so excited about the counter space! Just what a girl needs! Also comes with a huge jetted tub!

Huge storage room! (again bigger then what you see)

Alot of New Changes

We have done so many things this past month and even with a new camera I have not documented anything! I can't believe it! I guess life just got a little crazy there for a while. So I will update with a few things. A bit of exciting news for me... Tyler & his dad went down to the B-Ball tournaments in Vegas last month and was able to find us a steal of a deal on a car down at the car auction. Tyler still says he went down to "Buy a Car" and it just so happened it was the same weekend of the B-ball games but hey we both benefited from that little trip right?! I sold my car right before we headed out to Florida last year so our plan was to buy me a new car once we got home in September but we couldn't decide what car we really wanted. Then we got the exciting news that we were pregnant and we knew we would need a car with a little bit more leg room! I have been in love with the new Nissan Altima's for quite some time now and was really hoping for one! Going to the auction can be a little nerve wracking only because you don't know exactly what you are going to walk away with when you go! So when Tyler called me I won't lie my stomach had butterflies and I couldn't wait to hear what we got.... 2005 Pearl White Nissan Altima! =) I LOVE MY CAR! Just what I wanted!

BITTER SWEET...

I really didn't see this day coming so soon & can't believe its here! It's time to move! AGAIN! Alpine is truly where I felt at home & I was really hoping to be there at least 3 years! We have the cutest little one bedroom apartment & have loved everything about it!

We truly are not on our own time table that's for sure, we are definitely on the Lords and he has truly let me know that plenty of times. You would think I would have learned that by now but I haven't! My personality is to plan ahead I can't help it! So when I started PLANNING out the new year our little surprise was made known just a few days later! =) I am so excited to be a mom but only wish I could start my little family in Alpine. We know great things are yet to come and we are excited to start this new chapter in our lives & know we will find another great apartment! We just love our Landlords and will miss them so much! They are the greatest people you will ever meet! Thanks so much for EVERYTHING Dave & Jeri! We will miss you!

(a few snap shots of our apartment)

TICK, TICK, TICK ...

Time is ticking away and we are down to the last days!
My bother in-law is due home from his service in Iraq by May 3rd!
We are just dying to see him! We love him so much & are so thankful to him for & his sacrifice to keep us safe! WE LOVE YOU MICAH!

First Ultra Sound~

Yesterday I had my first Ultra Sound! It was the most amazing thing! It finally feels real! I couldn't wait to go all weekend. Just the anticipation of knowing all is well with the baby and that there was a heart beat! I mean me worry? Come on! Ha ha! Any one who knows me even the slightest knows that's the best thing I do in life! My nerves got the best of me at one point but seeing that baby on the screen was the most comforting feeling in the world! He also confirmed there was only one baby! I kept having these dreams it was twins, and Tyler has actually been rooting for triplets! So to see even one heart beat was so exciting! I couldn't beleive how fast the little heart beat was beating! It really was such a neat thing to see! I have never been so excited! I wish I could buy my own Ultra Sound machine and have it at home so I could see the baby all the time! I can't wait to meet this little one!
Once he measured the baby he told me that I was measuring 1 day ahead of schedule so he changed my due date to October 4th! My niece Hailey will be happy to hear the news! Her Birthday is that day
and she is the only Grand Daughter! When we told her we were expecting and what day I was due she told us that she really wants it to be a girl and
hopes the baby comes one day early so they can have the same Birthday! So we will cross our fingers for her!

Baby Tucker Due October 5, 2008

The secret is finally out!! We are so relieved!! We are so excited to share our exciting news with our Family and Friends! We are expecting our first baby October 5, 2008 & we can not wait! We feel like it can not come fast enough! Deciding not to tell anyone until we were closer to the end of my 1st trimester was such a long wait & we are thrilled the news is finally out!
We are anxiously awaiting May to come around so we can find out what we are having! We will be excited either way but we have quite the number of people routing for a girl! Tyler's family has 5 grand kids right now 1 Girl who is the oldest and 4 boys who have come right in row! We are hoping to break the boy streak! Also my sister just had the first grand baby on my side which was a boy so it would be fun to try a girl out!
We ended up telling our families in two different ways...
For my family we volunteered to bring dessert to Sunday dinner thinking no one would ever clue into what we were up too. & they didn't! It worked out perfectly. We had a cake made with an Ultra sound picture on it! (THE PICTURE IS NOT OURS) The cake decorator did such an amazing job!
Tyler got dessert out and put it on the counter and then asked my mom to show him how he should cut it! she came into the kitchen where my dad followed. She lifted up the lid and closed it right away looking at Tyler and saying "No Way!" she started crying right off! My dad couldn't figure out what all the fuss was about so he went right for the cake. He opened the lid and starting celebrating! My family had NO idea it was coming! They are very excited!

Surprising the Strong family

For Tyler's Family we just couldn't wait any longer we wanted them to know so bad and couldn't wait till Sunday when we would all be together! So Tyler and I decided to fill a basket with Easter eggs and have them unscramble a puzzle. In each egg there was one letter that would spell out "Baby Tucker Due October 5, 2008" We filled 3 baskets and took one to his Mom & Dad and 2 sisters. We tried door bell ditching but our plan fell through once we got to his mom and dad's house and she opened the door as Tyler was walking up to it! :) ha ha! It was pretty funny! In the end it worked out perfect! They are just as thrilled to have Grand baby #6 on the way!!
Here are some fun things that were said by Tylers Nephews about us having a baby.

Jaxon (6) "Oh Man, You have got to be kidding me!"
Connor (4) " Amanda Who?"
Chandler(5) & Preston (2) Amanda is going to have a baby. "Is it Tage? (My sisters baby they have met twice) " Is she going to have Tage?"

Surprising the Tucker Family

Midway Getaway!

This weekend was a blast! We took Breelyn and Ryan up to Tyler's family condo in Midway! It was such a fun & relaxful day! We started out by grabbing lunch at Subway and then headed up to go sledding at soliders hollow! They had such a great time! I had to skip out on this one only because my doctor told me not to go sledding in my first trimester. I was pretty bummed! It looked so fun, but I had fun watching them and taking pictures! I made Tyler promise me we would go again! Our brother in law gave us two passes for Christmas! Thanks for the great gift Jared! Ty had a blast!

We then headed out to the bowling alley! We ate dinner there which was seriously the best food Next time we are up there I will be choosing that over the Dairy Keen! Sorry Jaime and Jared, but you have got to try it! We then played 2 rounds of bowling. The first game was boys against girls! Who ever won got to pick the movie to watch once we got back to the condo! My first turn I got a strike and I totally thought we had it! I kept thinking wow the Wii really pays off! THINK AGAIN!! I have never bowled so bad in my life!! We ended up losing so Breelyn and I decided to play another game All or Nothing! Yeah we got nothing the second game was worse than the first! I couldn't believe it!

I loved the whole weekend! its my favorite little getaway!! Can't wait to go back!

Valentines Day

I really have the best husband ever when it come to Valentines Day! He has amazed me the past 3 years we have been together! I am always so excited for Valentines Day because I know it is always going to be full of surprises and I am a sucker for romantic surprises! This Valentines Day Tyler planned quite the romantic night! He did such a good job keeping it from me. I seriously had no idea where we were going. We left straight from work that day and headed up to Salt Lake. He surprised me by taking me to the Melting Pot, I have wanted to go there for quite some time now! My second surprise was waiting for us at our table! It was my best friend Breelyn and her husband Ryan! I was so excited! After dinner the guys made Breelyn & I say our goodbyes to each other! We were both so bummed! We really wanted to stay and do something together! Ty just kept saying just get over it Bree & Ryan are gone I have something planed for just the two of us! I was so excited to just be with my husband, but couldn't help but think of what was coming next. Little did I know our next stop was to Ryan's mom's house on top of draper mountain! There house is so beautiful! The guys had a movie and dessert waiting for us! It was such a romantic setting the lights were dimmed and the fire place was going! It was perfect! Thanks for being such a great husband and planning such a great night! I love you!!
