Life right now feels like it is running a million miles an hour!! Tyler is now in school full time at night and working full time during the day. I am still working full time as a secretary during the day and working part time at night from home for a dentist office. I don't see life slowing down anytime soon but I am excited for what's a head of us.
So Lets Start with Some Updates:
The Move:
We have been in our new place 5 weeks now & I feel so behind on it! Our walls are still bare for the most part and it doesn't feel that cute to me yet. I am struggling with decorating ideas I hope I figure them out soon! I love the amount of room we have though! I just have one last finishing touch on the baby's room and then I will take some pictures. For the rest of the house not sure when I will get those up but they will be coming!
Pregnancy:
I am just about 37 weeks now which to my surprise is "Full Term" I always thought it was at 38 weeks. Now that Tyler knows its 37 weeks he is more than anxious and is having a hard time waiting!
My pregnancy has been going great, I am still very much enjoying it but am starting to know what people have been telling me all along that there really comes a point where its not comfortable. I don't have too many of those days but they are starting to happen here and there.
I had my Dr's appointment yesterday and everything is still looking great. My swelling is out of control (You will be able to witness in the pictures below) but my blood pressure is nothing but excellent they say. My weight is not my best friend right now but the baby is growing exactly on track and his heart beat is more than perfect they say. I had my first examine yesterday to check if I was dilated. Right before he checked me he ask "Alright what are we hoping for a 2 maybe a 3?" I said "Actually a ZERO!" He looked at me and said "Wow I don't get that very often" I just looked at him and said "I am really just not ready for this baby to come!" He said I got a good portion of my wish... I was only dilated to a half of a centimeter! I was completely okay with that!
On the other hand Tyler was quite bummed out about it and was really hoping for a big number! He is more than ready for this baby to come! He is just watching me step by step waiting for any type of contractions or any sign of progression. He has been so fun through this! I really think this baby is going to be late though and I have just been planning on it since day one! I am pretty sure he is going to have to be forced out of there! So I am just planning on being induced one week after my due date!
I am not quite sure if this is what they call "Nesting" but right now I can't think about anything else but cleaning my house from top to bottom, hanging the rest of my decor on our bare walls, making sure everything is ready, Etc. but a little part of me knows it's nerves as well, once again I have let them get the best of me. I am truly not afraid of the pain of labor, the epidural, the recovery (unless I have a C-section) I guess it's the unknown I am worried about. Is this normal?
I guess all I want is a healthy baby! But who honestly doesn't? And of course for my self to be healthy. I asked Tyler last week if he would please give me a blessing once we reached the hospital and I was in actual labor. I think that's all I will need to make it through these uneasy and anxious feelings! I am so grateful for Tyler and for the husband and best friend he is to me! I really couldn't do this alone.
We are having more and more fun with this pregnancy day to day watching little feet or hands or knees or whatever it is stick out at us. I promise the excitement is in me like a wild fire I just need to get a few things done first! I can't wait to see what he looks like and hold him and just stare at him!
BABY SHOWER:
My very good friend Kilee and her Mom Aunt Shar threw me a baby shower last Saturday! Thank you to all who came! It meant the world to me and it was so good to see you!! When it comes to things like this Aunt Shar goes ALL OUT!! Her house looked amazing. We had the best food and the presentation was fabulous! These pictures don't do justice but I am sure you will agree with me after looking at the pictures or for those of you who attended! Her and Kilee worked so hard and I can't thank them enough! They have always been there for me and I have always felt like they are my second family! Thank you again for everything! I love you guys!!
We had such YUMMY food! I have actually been craving some of the dishes ever since & had to text Kilee for one of the recipes!
My friend Katie made me this darling car seat blanket. I have heard of people having them but never have actually seen one. It is darling and I can't wait to use it. Tyler thinks it's the coolest thing we have gotten. He thought Katie "Invented" it! I think he tried it in the stroller a few times and he just talked about it the rest of the night! Thanks Katie! This one was a hit in our house!
Little Beckem! He was the center of attention! Look how darling he is! I can't believe how big he is already!

I was just about to send you a post saying update please, but you already did! YEAH!! I agree your baby shower was amazing. They did such a great job with everything. I was impressed. I can't believe Braxton is almost here. I am so excited to hold him and see what he looks like. I can't wait for you to post pictures of the nursery and house. PS where did you get your background? It's adorable.
I'm so glad you like the car seat blanket!!! I love them and NO I did not invent them!!! hahaha I wish though!!! Good luck for the rest of your pregnancy! You'll be a due date girl... that's what I think! And it's not a bad thing, cause then you KNOW your baby is healthy... hehe! Being a mom is great, hard, but great! I'm glad I got to be a part of your pregnancy and that we could go through it together!
Thanks Amanda for the update and for all of those nice compliments. You are a sweetie, and we were so happy that we could have a baby shower to welcome little Braxton. He will be an adorable little guy! It was fun to meet and to see all of your friends. We loved having an excuse to have a get together. We will be anxiously waiting to hear the great news. Be sure and send us a text/picture:-) when he arrives!

You are so cute! I was having similar feelings as you are when I was pregnant with Kaydence. It was the unknown that made me nervous. I had a blessing before we went into the hospital too, it is such a blessing to have the priesthood in the home! I wish we were closer so I could have come to the shower! See you guys soon (for real)!
Very cute baby shower! You better enjoy the last few weeks of freedom before the baby comes. Good Luck with delivery.
