29 Weeks Pregnant

( This was taken just a few weeks ago you tell tell we are both growing. My stomach is inching towards the table!)

I am getting this up a lot later than I thought and promised. Sorry for the delay.
Things are going really great! We are truly on the down slope of this adventure! Ty and I couldn't be more excited!
I had my Glucose screening about a week ago and I was so nervous. I will have to say for this one time & one time only I was actually grateful Tyler was Diabetic because he could test me frequently with his blood sugar testing kit, and he was more than happy to do it. My levels were great but of course I still worried! That morning I anxiously awaited to leave work and go to my Dr. appointment so we could just get it over with. They give you this bottle of Orange colored stuff to drink. For me I could barely get it down! I was dry heaving all the way there and was so nervous because they tell you if you don't keep it down you have to come back another day. So I was literally speeding to get there. If anyone was to ask me I will still reassure them that it really isn't that bad and it's no big deal. =) But for myself it was just a smell thing to me and we will have to take Orange soda off the list. Hopefully after I deliver the smell and taste won't bug me anymore!
Right as the numbers popped up on their testing meter I was told I had nothing to worry about. I was actually one of the lowest they had seen in a while so that was good news for me. After testing I met with the Dr. and he said my Blood pressure was excellent but he couldn't help but notice how swollen I looked when he first looked at me, especially my right foot. He told me he would like to send me in to get an ultra sound on my legs ASAP to check for blood clots. I wasn't too worried until the guy kept digging into my legs! Not the most pleasant ultra sound I have ever had but everything turned out to be great!
He told me that it was just the position of the baby and the heat. So I am just trying to watch my sodium intake and drink plenty of water so I can keep my blood pressure at a great level.
I am still Loving pregnancy more and more everyday. The other night I actually was a little down when the thought entered my mind I won't be pregnant for too much longer. I can't imagine not feeling this little guy everyday and the joy it brings me! So I am soaking up every sec I can. His movements are very well known now and just yesterday I truly felt a little foot poking out. Just makes me so curious to what he is going to look like!

Life for Ty and I is starting to pick up dramatically!! We have A LOT going on from here until Braxton's due date. We will be moving in just about 2 weeks. I am so anxious to get in and get settled!
I am so thankful that we are getting in before school starts so Ty can help me unpack. Every day I get more and more anxious to set up Braxtons room & decorate our little place. We just hope we get everything done in time. I know I know you are thinking you have two months but... Last month I started a new job that I do from home just in the evenings. It's going great & I couldn't be more grateful for it. My chances of staying home full time are getting greater and greater every day! But having my nights tied up right now makes it hard to get the things I need done but it will all work out. The baby won't know if something isn't completed right?
Ty is enjoying his time off from school right now. He has been such a trooper with going to summer school full time and working full time. I love him and am so grateful for all his hard work for our family. Other than that we are trying to live up the last of summer and soak up all the sun we can get. Summer goes by way too fast but we LOVE the fall and can't wait for it. We just dread the winter! It lasts way too long here in Utah!

Okay here it is..........
This is a very daring move for myself! This is why it is at the bottom. I have debated all day if I should put this up or not. So here it is the "Belly" Shot. This was taken just a few days ago by myself, I wanted to see for myself how BIG I really was!
(29 Weeks)

Camping at Moose Horn Lake

We had such a great time this weekend camping with my family. We had the best camping spot (thanks to my dad who called 6 Months in advance) The weather was perfect and we had a lot of time to sit back and relax! It was so good to get away! Our last morning there we spotted a moose eating across the lake.
We are hoping to make this a tradition from now on. Can't wait to go back next year! It will be even better because we will be able to take Braxton!

..........................................................................
Fishing....
Ty & my dad had such great luck the first day. It only took about 2 min. after casting that they were ready to reel in again and see what they caught.

..........................................................................
Our Hike to the Lake....
We ALL took turns carrying the little Munchkin!

...........................................................................
Soaking it all in...
Just enjoying the day and hanging out!

Change of Plans

This whole apartment hunting has been quite the emotional roller coaster for me! It really wasn't that big of a deal at all but I let my raging pregnancy hormones get the best of me!

We had plans to move into our friends darling basement apartment as I had mentioned in an earlier post. I couldn't believe how lucky we were to have found something so great before we even started looking! But in June they had some unexpected change of plans. They told us they were still planning & hoping to move by the fall, so we decided we would just wait until August to see if any plans had changed with them or if we needed to start looking for something different! I seriously wanted nothing but our friends apartment, I compared EVERYTHING to it and the apartments we saw didn't even come close to matching up to that one! Nothing we saw was good enough! I was almost 90% convinced that we would end up moving in there because every time I would stress about it I would get this peaceful feeling like it was going to be okay! I really just had to put my trust in the lord and have patience with him but it was difficult for me! The stress of not knowing where or what you are going to bring your first baby home to scared me to death! We have such a great place right now and honestly it would have worked out just fine but this brought me the worst anxiety especially not knowing if it was a for sure thing that we were going to move in there & especially not knowing if I would have everything done & ready in time for him to come.

Last Friday night I just broke down into tears, and again let my emotions get to me! I am blaming this all on the baby!! (tears have been a constant thing through this pregnancy not because I am sad just because i can cry at anything) I got worried again about where we were going to be living and especially because of the cost of things! Renting is RIDICULOUS! Ty just hugged me and said "it will work out" Our famous words!
That night I just decided to forget about it! We still had over a month to wait until we touched base with our friends or had to start looking and really its just an apartment right?
So Sunday came and we did our usual routine in the ward, & as we were leaving we ran into our old Landlords so we stopped to just say a quick hi. The first thing he said was that their daughter (who lives 3 doors down from them) was moving!
NO WAY! We have been dying to stay in the ward and the area! We truly feel like Alpine is home to us! We LOVE it there! With in 24 hrs everything was squared away. They close on their house July 28th so if all goes well (which we have been told we have nothing to worry about) we will be moving in the first week of August!

My jaw dropped when we saw this place! IT IS BEAUTIFUL! it will be so perfect for our little family! It actually ended up being cheaper than the other and even a little bigger! We seriously are so blessed! We are so excited to stay in the ward and the same neighborhood! When I found out I was pregnant the only reason I cried was because i knew we would have to move! Who would have ever guessed we would end up just 3 doors down! We have never been so excited! We truly feel like this was "Meant to be!" & that this is a better fit for our family!

I have learned once again that we are on the lords time table and not our own. He knows what's best for us, and what's to come. We just need to have faith and patience! This truly is a blessing in our lives. I just always think & say... If I only would have known, I wouldn't have stressed out so much!
I use to have this quote hanging on my mirror since my sophomore year until I got married! I think it's time to put it back up!

"Answers to prayers ONLY come when we are PREPARED & PATIENT!"

I will post pictures once we are settled in!

Six Months!

Today I had my 6 Month check up! Everything is still looking GREAT! My Blood pressure is getting back on track. Still a little bit lower than normal for me but they say its better to be low than high, so I will take it and run. The doctor told me my swelling is due to the heat. Last week during the cold streak I was able to put back on my wedding ring but today I have resorted back to the fake one! A lot of the swelling has decided to settle in my face. Not the best spot I feel nor would have chosen or hoped for. This is why I am not as picture happy as I use to be. So to the many that have requested I post pictures of how "BIG" I am getting (I hope they mean my belly)! Here it is! (sorry I had to resort to taking a picture of myself this time around.)

I am still loving and enjoying every second of pregnancy & still could not be more anxious for this one thing in my life! It has been very fun & exciting the past 4 weeks to see the changes and to feel him move more and more. He is very active & has moved up into my ribs now. It's not to the point where it hurts yet but startles me more than ever. It tickles to some extent, it feels a little like the thump you feel when you get your reflexes checked.
He is usually more active during the day while I am sitting at work and at nights when I am laying down to go to sleep. So while I am here at work I have to try and not giggle too loud when I feel him. Some times I just can't help it! Tyler is able to feel him completely now and he is enjoying every second of every kick! I am getting to the point now where you can see movement while I am laying down. Tyler's reaction has been so fun to watch while he witnesses this! Makes me even more excited to see what's to come.
This poor little guy has had many cases of the hiccups already, but it kept us entertained yesterday during sacrament meeting as we watched my stomach twitch about every 1-2 seconds! I am sure people were wondering what in the world we were doing!
I have been making a goal list to accomplish before he arrives. I have never wanted to be such a better person than I have since the day I found out I was pregnant! Being such a HUGE example to someone scares me to death. I have a lot of things to check off the list and hope I can get them all done in time. I am also hoping this helps the time pass just a little faster as well!
I am getting very anxious to buy things for this little one but am trying to hold out until after my showers, but I couldn't resist with this purchase and just had post a picture of what I bought!!
I would have to say this has been my most FAVORITE purchase yet!!

Sharing Time

I just had to post this cutest picture of our primary class. Our class had Sharing Time on Sunday & they did the cutest job! The theme was on "Families." So I had them each dress up and play the role of someone that makes up or plays a part in a family. We had a Grandpa, Grandma, Dad, Mom, Sister, Twin Brothers, & a Baby. Tyler & I love our calling! We teach the 4 & 5 yr olds. There never is a dull moment with these kids. We seriously hear the funniest & cutest things. It will be bitter sweet once the baby comes and we will be released. I wish we didn't have to leave our ward.
We are going to have a couple of Class Activities this summer so I will have to post more pictures once we do so.

Engagement * June 10, 2006

I can’t believe 2 years ago today my sweet husband proposed to me. I couldn’t have asked for more. Tyler & I’s relationship started out as a really fun meeting story & I always wondered if that’s all it would be! My best friend Breelyn tried setting us up for 2 years before Tyler left on his mission. The timing was never right. Tyler left on his mission and I had just finished my first year down at Snow College. I decided to come home to stay. Breelyn had tried to get us to meet just weeks before he left but I was interested in someone else. Breelyn was sick of my excuses and thought she would take things into her own hands. Breelyn took a picture from my room one night & sent it to him along with my address.

What do you know, Just 4 days later here is a letter from an unknown person in my mailbox! My first thoughts were “Desperate!” so I rolled my eyes through the whole letter and pushed it aside. 7 months passed & that letter was still sitting in a pile in my mail bin untouched. The guilt got to me. I decided that was pretty rude of me and decided to write him a quick non thought letter back to end the guilt trip in my head. The letter was very simple and didn’t give him much hope to write me back. One week later…. Another letter was waiting for me in my mailbox. The rest is history! Tyler & I wrote from that day on until the day he walked off the plane 8 months later. 6 months later Tyler proposed and we were married 2 months later in the Salt Lake Temple. I couldn’t have asked for someone more amazing to come into my life and sweep me off my feet!

And that day he did…..

He thought of the perfect proposal. Its very hard to surprise me even though surprises are my most favorite thing! But he truly fooled me this time….

Tyler told me he had to work that day & that he had planned a date night for us that night so he would just pick me up later once he got off work and got ready. I thought nothing of it and decided to go birthday shopping that day with my mom. Tyler got off “work” a little early and told me he would just come over, once he got to my house I was eager to head up to our reservations. (He said we were going to the Blue Boar Inn in Midway for dinner) He told me we were going to be way early but I insisted we go. So Tyler gave in and we started heading up Provo Canyon. When I got in the car the setting was so perfect he even had our song playing. He kept telling me we were going to be so early and that they wouldn’t take us because they didn’t have any other time slots available before ours. So out of no where right before we reached the Sundance turn off he said “do you want to go drive past Sundance since we have time?” At this point his hands were sweating. I thought nothing of it and said “Sure” his plan was working perfectly as I was off in La La Land thinking nothing of it! His families best friends have the most BEAUTIFUL cabin up there and he told me he was going to show me where it was. We pulled into the driveway and he asked if I wanted to go in? I hurried and said “No way! I am not going in with out them knowing. Let’s Just go.” “You don’t even have a key.” Right then he lifted down his visor and pushed the garage door opener! I don’t even remember talking after this. When we walked in I saw a flight of stairs with a single long stem rose on every other step all the way up (There were 3 flights.) My cute hubby was so good at keeping a journal on his mission and a little bit after he got home. Each card had a date and an event on it that marked our journey to this point. This first card started with the date of my first letter back and then last card ended with “ June 10, 2006 You thought you were going to the Blue Boar in for dinner” I looked at him and he asked me to close my eyes. He of course started into this whole romantic speech as he walked me through a room. He ended saying I don’t want it to end if it doesn’t end here” He had me open my eyes and there on a table was the most beautiful picture of the Salt Lake temple and a vase of roses. He got down on one knee and ask me to marry him!!

I love you Tyler. I couldn’t have asked for a better husband or best friend. Thanks for making me laugh every day, and Thank you for choosing me!

Date Night @ Labor & Delivery

(Long Post!! Sorry.)

On Friday Xango gave Tyler tickets to a Real Salt Lake Game. Tyler was so STOKED!! He has been wanting these tickets for quite a while now. The game was Saturday night @ Rice Eckles Stadium. We had so much fun. Ty & I went up early and stopped by Tai Pan first (What a trooper) and then Headed to dinner and then to the game! We had awesome seats!! It was so nice to finally have Date Night with just my hubby. We haven’t gone and done something with just the two of us in the longest time. I love spending time with my best friend! We stayed for the whole game (even though the score ended 0/0). Thanks for such a great Date Night Ty! xoxo

The Story Continues……………….

(Let me set the scene)

We had just left the game and had only been on the road about 5 minutes. I have been really good the past month or so making sure my seat belt is below my stomach on my lap. We had just reached a red light so I decided to sit up a little bit and adjust my sitting position. As I was sitting up the seat belt ended up across my stomach tightening quickly. Just as I had Made it to a straight up position we heard tires SCREECHING behind us, I looked at Tyler and said “OH NO!!” I went to grab my seat belt to pull it down off my stomach but I was too late! That’s when we were hit from behind! I would say he was going about 25- 30 MPH by the time he hit into us. We were not thrown too far, So I didn’t even think anything of it until we both pulled over into a parking lot to exchange information and then I felt a throbbing ache coming from my stomach.

Try to believe this but….

I stayed CALM (I don’t know where this came from because knowing my self I should have been freaking out at this point) until Ty got back into the car. I calmly told him my stomach was hurting where my seat belt was and I should just call the doctors office to report the accident. (My past 2 appointments I have been told I need to report any Falls, Accidents, Punctures to the stomach, Etc. ASAP.) So I thought I will just call & leave a message reporting it in case they want to see my Monday.

Some one ended up answering at the Dr. Office. I explained to her what had happened and told her we weren’t hit very hard but was just calling to report it. She told me that she HAD to call the Dr. on call right away. I tried explaining to her that I wasn’t hurt but she said she needed to report it immediately. So I hung up & told Ty “no worries they just want me to talk to the doctor.” With in 5 min. Dr. Gamette ( I Love this man! He was so great) was calling me back. I explained to him that I was fine I just tried to report it to his office. The first thing he asked me was where was your seat belt. I started to explain the situation & he interrupted me and asked “Was it across your stomach?” Once I told him yes, he told me I need to come directly to the hospital. He was very demanding so I whispered to Ty go to the hospital. Tyler FLOORED IT!!!!

I have never seen this side of Tyler before in my life! Honestly it was the cutest thing ever!! I kept telling him to slow down before we get into another wreck but he just said we have got to get you there! I told him everything the doctor said and told him I was fine but he didn’t listen. Ty was so nervous he couldn’t even think straight enough to know the way to the hospital once we got off the exit. He was like one of those dads you see on the movies when the wife is in labor! He was so darling! He takes such good care of me!

We got all checked in about 10:30 pm, changed into a gown & hooked up to the machines. This is the first time my heart dropped & I was nervous.

She couldn’t find a heart beat!!! Tyler stood right up and started staring at the machine. FINALLY she picked it up. Tyler started reading off numbers aloud from the machine and asked her what it should be at. Tyler didn’t take his eyes off those numbers for about 5 minutes. I was also having small contractions at this point, & my blood pressure was a little lower than they like it so the Dr. decided to keep me for a few more hours to observe. We were released about 2:55 am & were given many instructions. I was just relieved and excited everything was okay and I was ready to crawl into my own bed!! I am now REALLY anxious to have this little guy!!

Your own Sneak Peak……..

..................................................

Here is Tyler pacing back and forth on the phone with Breelyn.
This is the first smile I had seen for a couple of hours.

.......................................................................

This is not the best picture of my self but I took this to document. I was nothing but smiles and giggles while waiting for the nurse to come hook me up to the monitors.

............................................

It was really fun to sit back and listen to Braxtons heart beat & movements. He was the most active I think he has ever been. The nurses were pleased to see that.

We had a lot of paper work to fill out & were given A LOT of instructions!
