? PROGRESS ?

NOPE! Nada! ZIP! Zilch!!

I had my 38 week check up yesterday and they were very shocked to see NO progress! I am still at a 1 and it looks like I have gone down the scale a little bit and am only 65% effaced now! I was shocked myself, only because I was cramping all weekend and also had 3 very heavy contractions in a row in the middle of the night on Friday. They lasted 1 min each and were 6 minutes apart. I could barely breath through them. My heart skipped a beat when I thought "What if this is it" I seriously think I am the worst soon to be mom EVER! All I could think of was please NOT TODAY! So I did what they told me to do in my prenatal classes to make sure it was actual labor. I very quietly got up I didn't want to wake up Tyler because I only knew what could happen with that! =0) He would have been getting dressed and would have had those car keys in his hand before I would have even turned over!! =0)

I went and got a big drink of water and changed positions. I then decided Braxton & I needed to have a little chat. So I laid there in my bed and I told him can you PLEASE wait because the laundry isn't done, the house hadn't gotten vacuumed last night, the dishwasher needed to be emptied, etc. and also I had a baby shower in just a few hours! He is a pretty good listener because they stopped just seconds later! =0) I think this is the only part of my mom I have in me! The day she had me she waited to go to the hospital until she cleaned the house from top to bottom. This may be why I came only 2 hrs after her checking in! I know that the house isn't always going to be perfect and that he is just going to come when he is good & ready and I know I will be ecstatic when it does happen, but I just pray we make it at least until October 1st.
Last night I couldn't sleep as usual so I got up and straightened his room again. I went through all his little Jammie's and put them in size order and just sat in his rocking chair! I got butterflies! Right then I regretted the next decision I made with the doctor.

My Dr. asked if he could strip my membranes yesterday and said it's totally up to you and I just looked at him and I got teary eyed and said "Can we not?" "I don't think I am ready?" I am such a chicken!! Please tell me why?!?!
Tyler could not believe I said NO! He was very disappointed but very supportive about my decision. He was completely understanding! He is so great! I just thought of all the things I needed and wanted to do this week including my last baby shower with Tyler's dad's side of the family! They are my absolute favorite! I love being around them, they are just the type of people you can't get enough of and that make you feel so good!! I have so much fun with them! So I don't want to miss that for the world!! I never want to miss anything with that side of the family!

Tyler is still praying he comes early. Now that we have our bags all packed and in the trunk of our car I just know they are going to sit there and that Braxton is going to stay in there until the last min possible. After yesterday I just still think he will come late! I just really can't tell you how shocked I was with no progress! All that cramping and NOTHING?? Hmm!?!?

Tyler & I decided to have a little fun with the last stretch of this pregnancy, so we had our families play a "Guessing Game." with a prize involved. Each person picked a date, how many pounds, ounces, and Inches they think he will be. Each person is really hoping for their day and weight & you can't help but wonder when & what it will be. Last week my doctor already estimated him coming late and as of yesterday he has estimated his weight.
He thinks he is to be in the Mid-High sevens as right now, but thinks he will be just barely over 8 lbs When he decides to come! He said he is always high on guessing the weight! We will have to see about that and who the winner is. Right then I again thought twice about stripping my membranes & wondered if I could change my mind Ha Ha! I hope he slows down a little if he really is that big and isn't planning on coming for a couple more weeks!! But I will take what I get! I can't wait! =0)

37 1/2 Weeks

I started a pregnancy journal at the first of my pregnancy but that didn't last as long as I thought. So I am now using my blog as somewhat of a personal journal through this pregnancy, and I am sorry if any one thinks it's too personal but I want to remember as much as I possibly can!

I had my weekly Doctors Appointment yesterday. Everything looks great he said. I have made progress in the last week which he says is a good sign but he doesn't see this baby coming early what so ever since it's my first, but he said he could be wrong!
Tyler was quite bummed out when I told him the news and told him he just now needs to plan for the latest time possible. That way he won't be disappointed and will be more excited when it actually happens!

I am now...
Dilated to a 1
70% Effaced
-1 Gestation. (I need to get to a 4 to give you an idea)

I have REALLY enjoyed the Dr's I chose. They really fit my personality and I always leave on a high! They really sit and talk with me and listen to ALL my CRAZY concerns!! They have been so great! I was even more excited after my Dr. told me I can start drinking Diet Coke this week when I get a headache (I have had at least one headache almost everyday for 2 weeks now!) My cute Dr. even rubbed my sickly swollen feet for a min when he saw them. He couldn't believe how swollen they are with such great blood pressure results! He PROMISED me they would go down! =0)

Last night I found myself sitting in Braxton's room in the rocking chair just staring and holding my belly I don't know how long I was there for It was around 11 and I was half asleep) but I am guessing a while from Tyler's reaction. The tears were just flowing! More happy and overwhelmed tears I would have to say! I just want the best for this little guy. I can't believe all the emotions that go into a pregnancy and all the hormones you REALLY can't control! I guess it's just because I can't think of a time in my whole life where I have wanted anything as bad as I want this child! I remember the day I found out I was pregnant & How I just wanted to have him that day! I Couldn't believe I would have to wait 10 months!! Now that it is just about here I never thought I would have all these anxious, nervous, happy, over joyed etc. feelings.
From day one I have been so positive about the whole labor experience and it actually gave me an adrenalin rush when I thought about it! Now... I am not sure where all these feeling are coming from. Ha ha ha!!
I now still find my self worrying a lot and getting myself all worked up about things but I then look around his room and try to imagine this little baby sleeping in the crib or picture bathing him and getting him ready in ALL the cutest clothes hanging in the closet. It's then when something so small will hit me and I just get those butterflies! I don't think there is any better calling in the world then to be a MOTHER! I seriously can't wait to have him in my arms and truly feel those feelings ALL mom's talk about!

I have completed work for the month with my nightly at home job so I am now pushing my self like crazy running around the town trying to cross off my mile high list TO DO! I am still planning on him coming late & I definitely need the time! I am planning on having the house put together by Next Saturday so don't hold me to it but that's when I plan to put the requested pictures up of our new place! Wish me luck in getting it all done!!
On my mark, Get set. GO!! =0)

Over Due Post

I know I say this every time but I PROMISE to be better at blogging from here on out! We are not the most exciting people in the world lets be honest & I am sorry about that. This post will actually have a few pictures and updates about Tyler, myself, and our little bun in the oven!
Life right now feels like it is running a million miles an hour!! Tyler is now in school full time at night and working full time during the day. I am still working full time as a secretary during the day and working part time at night from home for a dentist office. I don't see life slowing down anytime soon but I am excited for what's a head of us.

So Lets Start with Some Updates:

The Move:

We have been in our new place 5 weeks now & I feel so behind on it! Our walls are still bare for the most part and it doesn't feel that cute to me yet. I am struggling with decorating ideas I hope I figure them out soon! I love the amount of room we have though! I just have one last finishing touch on the baby's room and then I will take some pictures. For the rest of the house not sure when I will get those up but they will be coming!

Pregnancy:

I am just about 37 weeks now which to my surprise is "Full Term" I always thought it was at 38 weeks. Now that Tyler knows its 37 weeks he is more than anxious and is having a hard time waiting!

My pregnancy has been going great, I am still very much enjoying it but am starting to know what people have been telling me all along that there really comes a point where its not comfortable. I don't have too many of those days but they are starting to happen here and there.

I had my Dr's appointment yesterday and everything is still looking great. My swelling is out of control (You will be able to witness in the pictures below) but my blood pressure is nothing but excellent they say. My weight is not my best friend right now but the baby is growing exactly on track and his heart beat is more than perfect they say. I had my first examine yesterday to check if I was dilated. Right before he checked me he ask "Alright what are we hoping for a 2 maybe a 3?" I said "Actually a ZERO!" He looked at me and said "Wow I don't get that very often" I just looked at him and said "I am really just not ready for this baby to come!" He said I got a good portion of my wish... I was only dilated to a half of a centimeter! I was completely okay with that!
On the other hand Tyler was quite bummed out about it and was really hoping for a big number! He is more than ready for this baby to come! He is just watching me step by step waiting for any type of contractions or any sign of progression. He has been so fun through this! I really think this baby is going to be late though and I have just been planning on it since day one! I am pretty sure he is going to have to be forced out of there! So I am just planning on being induced one week after my due date!

I am not quite sure if this is what they call "Nesting" but right now I can't think about anything else but cleaning my house from top to bottom, hanging the rest of my decor on our bare walls, making sure everything is ready, Etc. but a little part of me knows it's nerves as well, once again I have let them get the best of me. I am truly not afraid of the pain of labor, the epidural, the recovery (unless I have a C-section) I guess it's the unknown I am worried about. Is this normal?

I guess all I want is a healthy baby! But who honestly doesn't? And of course for my self to be healthy. I asked Tyler last week if he would please give me a blessing once we reached the hospital and I was in actual labor. I think that's all I will need to make it through these uneasy and anxious feelings! I am so grateful for Tyler and for the husband and best friend he is to me! I really couldn't do this alone.

We are having more and more fun with this pregnancy day to day watching little feet or hands or knees or whatever it is stick out at us. I promise the excitement is in me like a wild fire I just need to get a few things done first! I can't wait to see what he looks like and hold him and just stare at him!

BABY SHOWER:

My very good friend Kilee and her Mom Aunt Shar threw me a baby shower last Saturday! Thank you to all who came! It meant the world to me and it was so good to see you!! When it comes to things like this Aunt Shar goes ALL OUT!! Her house looked amazing. We had the best food and the presentation was fabulous! These pictures don't do justice but I am sure you will agree with me after looking at the pictures or for those of you who attended! Her and Kilee worked so hard and I can't thank them enough! They have always been there for me and I have always felt like they are my second family! Thank you again for everything! I love you guys!!

We had such YUMMY food! I have actually been craving some of the dishes ever since & had to text Kilee for one of the recipes!

My friend Katie made me this darling car seat blanket. I have heard of people having them but never have actually seen one. It is darling and I can't wait to use it. Tyler thinks it's the coolest thing we have gotten. He thought Katie "Invented" it! I think he tried it in the stroller a few times and he just talked about it the rest of the night! Thanks Katie! This one was a hit in our house!

Little Beckem! He was the center of attention! Look how darling he is! I can't believe how big he is already!

2 Years & Counting...

I meant to get this up last Friday but with the move & all it totally slipped my mind.

I think looking back on your wedding day should be one of the best memories of all next to having children! I love Anniversaries and little special dates that bring back so many defined feelings. One day I will never forget the way I felt was the day I married my best friend! I thought I loved him so much that day, but can't believe how deep my love goes for him today! It's crazy how much your love grows for someone each and every day!
I LOVED being a bride. I loved everything about it from the flowers, to the cake, the shoes, all the way down to the dress (I wish I could have slept in mine!) If I could I would get married everyday just to feel the way I did on my wedding day!
"CHOOSE YOUR LOVE, LOVE YOUR CHOICE!"
I did just that!
I reflect on that day very often actually, day dreaming about all those little details of things that happened and my defined feelings that I never want to forget. Thank you for marrying me Tyler, I don't know where I would be with out you! I love you!

Warning: Pictures Galore!
(Sorry I couldn't get my slide show to work, I am very into "details" & loved the detailed moments of our wedding and just had to share!)

We are so lucky to have so much love & support!
Our first little greeter! Here he is asking me "Do you know you are my aunt now?"

I couldn't believe how many people were there for us this day! We are so blessed to have such great friends and family who love us!

Little moments I remember!

I LOVED my shoes but at this moment of a quick snapped picture of my shoes Ty was just about to carry me to our carriage ride because I just couldn't walk anymore! Beauty is pain sometimes but is ALWAYS worth wearing heels!!

Putting our feet up! I loved this little ride around the temple. I remember just looking at Ty as my husband finally and those feelings I felt!

All the hugs and kisses I got this day from Ty's Nephews

What a stud!!
THE DETAILS...
The Wedding of my Dreams!!

All the yummy food we didn't get to eat!

Soaking up the last minutes of this amazing day! I did not want to leave! Tyler was very eager and kept telling me "Lets get going!" All I kept saying was "Okay in just a min." I am just so thankful he is the person I get to go home to every night!

My Dad says this picture sums it up! BROKE!! He said it was well worth it though if that's what it took to get rid of me! He better be kidding!

It's Official

It is definitely official, today was my last time giving myself a pedicure. I could barely reach my feet! Once I was done my stomach was a little achy! Braxton was squirming the whole time! I don't think he appreciated me squishing him for that long!
I am not complaining at all though, this only means one thing, Salon Here I Come!!
It will be nice to be pampered for an hour or so a couple more times before Braxton comes and I can reach my feet again!

I know... They look like the fat girls feet on Shallow Hal right? So I tried to get the most appropriate picture of them! I have gotten quite the looks when people see them & I only know what they are thinking! SICK!! =) Ha ha! The sad thing is, in only a couple of more hours they will actually be bigger!! If you look close enough you can see the indent of my flip flop straps. Yep... I took them off about 3 hours ago. Yesterday I decided I am over the flip flop idea! Any one who knows me knows I only wear heels! I wore them up until the day my feet got stuck in them. So yesterday I decided needed to look a little cuter and feel a little better about my swollen body so I pushed on my "Red" high heels (no joke) and came to work. I decided to take them off first thing. BIG MISTAKE! Well when it came time for me to leave for lunch I could not get them back on so I had to leave without shoes on and run across the hot parking lot to my car. They still didn't fit by the time 5 O'clock rolled around! I am not giving up though! They will be back on before you know it!
